Amigo Play Description
Amigo Play is a program designed for parents with young children (primarily 0-3 years old). Whether you are a new parent or a seasoned veteran, this program can help you learn more about your child’s development and provide simple tips, tools, and activities to maximize the stimulation that you can offer your child.
Research from Harvard University has shown that in the first few years of life, more than 1 million new neural connections form every second. The brain in a young child is growing at a rapid pace and having a strong foundation during this growing period has long lasting effects in a child’s future. You, as that child’s parent or caregiver, are the center of that growth and your interaction will make all the difference!
Amigo Play was designed and created by a team of Pediatric Early Intervention Specialists, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists who all specialize in working with children under the age of 3.
Key Features:
Play* - Come here to play with your child! When you select PLAY you will be given a choice of activities that are tailored to where your child is developmentally. You will be shown and guided how you can do these activities with your own child. Tell us how your child is doing with the activities and you will be able to track your child’s progress and development.
Learn** - Want to learn more about developmental topics that are important to you and your child? Select LEARN and browse through our constantly growing library of topics. Watch these videos to expand your understanding of how your child is growing and learning.
Classes*** - Have a question and want to tune in? Come join our CLASSES. Classes are Live streamed weekly and cover a variety of topics. A live Q&A through a chat forum is available so that you can reach out to professionals and therapists who work in pediatrics and provide you with answers to your questions.
