Being a fan of RTS games on PC, I have never found equivalents on smartphones. And for good reason: neither the power required nor the ergonomics follow this format. With Eight Cubes, I chose very low-poly to maintain the epic scope of a true RTS. Economic management is flow-oriented (as in the best examples of its kind). The topography of the giant map creates forced routes for base units, opening up unprecedented tactical possibilities based on orientation. The strength of the gameplay always outweighs the flourishes of the game design, saving on every polygon to give Eight Cubes' battles a scale never before imagined on mobile devices.
