The Pennsylvania Dance Company Description
The Pennsylvania Dance Company’s mission is “to guide, educate, and inspire students in the highest standards of dance, while encouraging leadership, respect, and loyalty.”
Established in 2012, and under the direction of Jessica Wellington, The Pennsylvania Dance Company was inspired by a love of dance. "My goal was to create a fun, safe place for students who are eager to learn the art." Along with positive reinforcement, PDC’s faculty strives to offer the best dance experience.
Many with dance degrees and certifications, our faculty members care about our students. We’re consistently educating ourselves so that we can provide our dancers with the most current techniques and styles.
We offer recreational dance classes for children 3-18 years, and we also have a competitive company that dancers can audition for. Our competition team is comprised of children who love to dance and want to take it to the next level. Many of our alumni are working professionally in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
Jessica’s resume includes;
-Dance Minor from The University of Akron
-The University of Akron Principal Dancer
-Dancer on the SS Independence, Hawaii
-First-ever awarded “Future Star” winner and featured in Dance Spirit magazine
-Regional and National choreography award winner
-So You Think You Can Dance audition finalist, Memphis TN
-Royal Academy of Dance Teacher's Training Program
