Download the app hoping to finally find a more natural voice for reading ebooks but after i installed the app i went to the voice list and tried several voices and every time i pressed play it acted like it was playing something but no sound.. it's unbelievable that trying voices is so buggy.. hope you fix it but having to uninstall it since i can't even hear any voices ..
Excellent! Right out of the box the voices sound pretty natural considering the low price. There's also a bunch of little tools to help you modify the voice to make it more realistic or turn it into whatever you like. On the manufacturer's website there are several pages that outline using phonetic tags to modify individual words or groups of words in different ways. In the app there is a tool that I suspect allows you to permanently change the pronunciation of a given word but I haven't taken the time to play with it yet and see what exactly it does. There's little tiny codes of sorts that are called sound tags, sound tags enable you to enter in sneezing, coughing, breathing, and a whole lot more, it's a really interesting feature to play with and you can do some neat stuff with it. Built-in responses are neat but they can be a little annoying because sometimes I'll hit on one on accident and don't necessarily want it to be pronounce the way that they do it. I kind of wish the built-in responses had something else to stand them apart like a capital letter in the middle or something like that so that it never happened. I'm not complaining because the built-in responses are fantastic when I want to use one. Overall I'm really satisfied with the quality of the app, the seamless integration of the engine, and all of the little features that the voice is come with. It's also worth mentioning that those built-in responses and sound tags vary from voice to voice so each one of them actually has its own personality. If you took the time to read this entire review I would like to thank you for reading it and also apologize for the formation of the paragraphs, Play Store forces my text into one big block no matter what I try to do with it.
Couldn't get past bugginess right away. Had high hopes but couldn't preview a single voice. Checked everything (volume settings, conflicting apps using the audio channel, tried all the troubleshooting I could) but it just wouldn't work. I understand needing to buy a voice to use it for anything else, but previewing was totally silent so can't buy. Generally awkward interface and experience overall (plus it shouldn't need contacts permissions, not pleased with that). Gave up and uninstalled.
