Continually get error code 2913-20000 and unable to watch videos EXCEPT I'm able to VIEW THE TRAILERS without an issue. How can that happen? This error code has been happening for many, many months. I updated today (03/15/2024) and there isn't any change😔 I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed. I've been an Acorn customer since their inception, 2011, with Roku (before smart TVs really were available and affordable). I'm beginning to question the value if I can't stream on their app.
Non existent customer service. While I'm a fan of Acorn programming, I had serious issues where nothing would play and I'd get error codes. Called customer service and reported issues and was promised a quick resolution and credit. I never received either and never got any follow up on my issues at all. After emailing them multiple times BEGGING for help and getting no response of any sort, I had no choice but to cancel my subscription. I have friends who have had similar issues. SKIP IT !
The app , especially on my Samsung Smart TV, keeps freezing. I've gotten failure to play 2019-00... messages, and when I tried to contact Acorn through their contact page, it wouldn't submit. I've cleared the cache, restarted, checked the network, etc. I am sure it is not on my end, and all my other streaming services work fine. I generally like the content, but if you can't see it without hours of frustration, what is the point? I'm about to cut off my subscription if this keeps up.
