I like the simplicity and the appearance of the different art mediums (especially when blending colors), but beyond that, I'm disappointed. There's no autosave feature, the app often lags, and there's no selection tool. There's no way to choose the ppi I want for each canvas. I use the largest possible canvas size just so it isn't too pixelated when I zoom in. The UI is also sometimes confusing (e.g. changing canvas settings). If it weren't for the realistic paints, I would give this app 1 star.
I'm not a professional drawing and painting artist, but this app is easy to find the options and test them. It doesn't have a very complicated setup, the options are clear and easy to find. Is not overloaded of stuff that are not easy to understand or find out the purpose...I really like the layout. The paint brush, roller, the dry fast, auto clean, very nice options. I still learning it, but I am already enjoying the app a lot, and is working great. Just the color picker or drop tool has a delay
Only used it for a couple of days (both on desktop and on Google Slate), but actually really enjoying it--but I'm somewhat of a newbie to art applications in general. I think most of the good things have already been mentioned in other reviews; canvas choices, brush settings, different types of paint. I was wondering however, if the devs would include a 'real' transform tool that would work based on perspective? E.g. Being able to bend and wrap images (especially imported images) around other images, from what I can tell, I'm unable to do that--but again, I'm quite new, so maybe I'm just missing context as to how to do it in Vitae compared to other art apps (Photoshop, ClipStudio, etc.) Just one star off for that (unless the devs can point out what I'm missing?), because otherwise, I'm finding it fully-featured enough to have a lot of fun with it, both on the desktop and tablet/phone version. Might also be worth mentioning that from what I saw, the documentation on the website is lacking--I very rarely see "Vitae" mentioned, it's almost always "Mobile" or "Lite," so I don't think everything lines up correctly.
