For me, the app is not complicated & easy to use. I've only used the free version. It offered way more than I needed to complete my projects. Tons of backgrounds available for free. You can also upload your own image. I do recommend using a solid background or non busy/nondescript one. It makes for less detail/touch up work. Highly recommend this app.
Coming from somebody who is quite particular about my choice of editing programs for both personal and professional purposes; this one has survived on my devices the past year or so that I've had it. I think that's about as glowing of a testimony as an image editor/BG remover could aspire towards. It's not necessarily the best at anything, but it's pretty decent at several.
