This app used to be good. I used it for a couple years. The app is only useful if the area you are interested in has a user that has a scanner connected to its website and if their scanner is online. If not, your area will not be available. I have a hand held scanner with my local codes. User beware. It is easier and less aggravating to purchase ur own scanner. I've been trying to develop an app to better serve people for local broadcasts. Apps are not easy to create
The app does as advertised. It allows you to pull up streams and listen to them. The audio quality is fair and probably just as close as having a radio in the area. HOWEVER. The UI is super outdated. This isn't why I'm bashing it, though. The service purposefully drop streams after around 5-6 minutes, just as others have stated. I purchased the "pro" version thinking that it would solve this issue from the original. It doesn't. Waste of money. Glad I was able to refund it. I'll just continue with my ad blocking now to make up for what should already be. I'm fairly certain the feeds "drop connection" to get you to go back in and be presented with more ads. Guess they don't want my money at all. For that, it is useless to me. I will be looking to other solutions.
The audio quality is good and there are plenty of volunteers providing feeds but the UI is very clunky and unrefined. It feels like something from the Windows 98 era. The other orange scanner radio app has a much nicer UI and is updated more often. Also, I purchased the pro version of Broadcastify's app through Amazon App store and it would never open, so I got a refund. If you guys put more effort into modernizing your app and adding additional features it would be much more usable.
