This is the absolutely worst digital way to buy tickets in any city I saw. You buy single tickets in the app and than you need to validate it by scaning QR code when you enter subway. But you might not have connection in subway - so you can't validate it. Or your battery dies after the whole day... Also you have to register, enter billing info, register card ( can't pay with Google pay) - the whole process is so complicated. We end up buying paper tickets anyway - it's so much simpler.
On my first time visit to Budapest I found this app very useful. Live tracking of vehicles works great. Custom route planning was also very useful feature to plan trip in advance and it has with detailed instructions (e.g. take exit A from subway to point B). I didn't test ticket purchases in app since I found buy paper tickets on machines easy and simple enough. But for everything else what I needed (live transport tracking, planning, timetable) app worked perfectly.
Worst app, programmers that made this are useless. Always getting errors, impossible to register due to "communication error". This is 100% NOT on users end. My connection is stable , like everyone else's. Get a better dveloper for the app, the current one is INEPT!!!
