I've been using this for a couple of years now, on different Android versions. Works really well on my mechanical watches. Was able to get them to within a second a day. Haven't had many problems with outside noise, mostly use medium sensitivity. Not able to get it working with a pendulum wall clock, even though it's in a case. Would be great if there was a decent description of the graphs, scales and settings in the app. The FAQ here is helpful, but has big gaps. Great value for money, despite limitations.
The display has tiny, tiny, tiny characters, and no ability to zoom in on the rate trend part of the window...the waveform from the microphone takes up much more screen space than needed, whereas the error/rate part is too small to be readable. Otherwise, it seems quite accurate. Too bad it's A TRIAL FOR 30 MINUTES ONLY.
I downloaded this on to my phone. After the trial period it stopped so I paid for the upgrade. It then worked for a while and stopped. I could only get it going by un and reinstalling. I then saw the earlier comment about clearing data and it works again each time. Thanks for that. I have had trouble checking 4 old watches in that the frequency jumps about all over the place. I don't know if it is that the watches are worn or the app not working on the higher frequencies with the remote phone mike. I have now tried it with the internal phone mike and it gives far better results. I didn't think that it would be sensitive enough. I wrap the watch and bottom half of the phone in a cushion to keep out background noise. It works well with clocks.
