Downloaded app to both phones and allowed all settings it asked for. Uninstalled/Reinstalled on both phones twice each, and it still would not work. Would not let me designate an old and new phone at all. Skips directly to scanning a qr code step on both and is just an utter failure of an app for me. Extremely frusterating and a huge disappointment.
I don't know why it's happening, and I don't know how to fix it, but when trying to transfer data to my new phone, the new phone absolutely refuses to give me the option to say it is the new phone, it jumps immediately to trying to scan a QR code to send data. Which is the exact opposite of what I'm trying to do! I tried to look up the issue, but found zero information on this. This app sounds remarkably convenient compared to other data transfer apps, but I guess I'll never know.
It works. I've never had such a seamless transition from a last generation device to a next, with both my data/files AND the entire User Interface + all my customizations being ported over (but back up various settings anyway, to re-import). The experience becomes the same, post-send, and the only work to do is re-entering login info for all apps, tweaking security and anything else new on the new phone. Also, the process only adds to new phone's existing files, it doesn't overwrite, dupe.
