After update it doesn't seem to be as helpful or informative. The scan gets stuck. I've scanned several brands that I know are on a boycott list come up good. And vise versa: I'll scan things I know are ok and it says it's not. And selecting "proof" to look up info, I've read research unrelated to the brand that doesn't make sense or doesn't prove why it's on the boycott or not. And doesn't confirm what you scan. Fix it please!!!!
A simple and easy to use app. I love that it doesn't collect any data or share it with third parties. The scanner works most of the time. Occasionally it just spins. For those products I tried a couple times and nothing came up. My guess is the brand isn't in the database yet. My one recommendation would be to license the code as open source and make it publicly available. That way people can verify it doesn't track them. Also, the developer could accept improvements from other developers.
I ve just downloaded it after discovering it on Al Jazeera. So far, after playing around with it to look up many brands, I like how quick and easy it is to use. WIith some disappointment, I've learned that Amazon and Walmart are in the red category instead of the green😏. But I'm so glad to discover this app to add my support to a moral cause.🙂. Great idea!
