Loses recipes. No import of beer.xml files Lots of tools. Generally a good app, but constantly messes up my recipes lists with duplicates and lost recipes. There are 2 built in tools to try to recover lost recipes so this is a known bug. No way to transfer recipes from one phone to another phone (except to your online account and back, one at a time)
I'm a long time BeerSmith user, started with version 1.3 I figured it's high time I moved to using a tablet rather than a bulky laptop. I kinda wish I hadn't. Clunky slow interface, local search doesn't work when using nested folders, can't import BeerXML, can't import equipment profiles or water profiles, no export, no backup/restore. Unless you use the cloud function, you're humped. There are free products that do all of these things, yet we're held captive with paid software. Not impressed.
I've had this app for three days and have been migrating recipes from another app. In three days I've had one folder and two recipes disappear, twice. I was able to recover the recipes by "rebuilding" the recipe list in the options menu, but now I can't trust the app to store my recipes. Otherwise I love the app, but so far its calculators are not worth the risk or the time lost backing up recipes on another platform and restoring them in this app. Definitely not an app worth paying for.
