On Android, you have to buy it before trying it. It didn't work for me. The centre of the object scanned fine but the straight edges were scanned wavy. I contacted the company but didn't get a reply. A lot of the reviews sound like they didn't actually start the scan. To get it to scan, you have to 1) Start the scan. 2) Press what looks like a stop button on the top right; it is actually a Start Scan button.
Don't buy this software. It's terrible. I spent an entire afternoon trying to scan a simple figurine.I did it in natural light, lamps inside, object on a turn table and even camera in a tripod to keep it super stable. I did double scans every single time, and I watch little improvement across all those settings. They are lying about this apps ability. Its junk. Emailed them asking for a refund, no response.
This is an edit and update to my past post: I am using a Galaxy 9 Note, and it works fine. So that is not the issue. Had made some tracker mats with plane paper. They look good. So that is not the issue. Have plenty of lighting also. Using two 7,000 lumen lights. Still it will not track the mat or the model well at all. It keeps loosing focus or something. After several attempts, even merging many scans to help improve the scan, the model still turns out bad. I will try what I can to see if I can get it working better. To make it scan like it does in the demos. I contacted the developer via e-mail to ask if I would have to pay for exporting my models. And was told if I get the paid version, as I did here, I can export as many models as I want. Well, turns out so long as I have WiFi on I don't get the popups asking me to have my WiFi on so I can buy credits to pay for exporting. I can, as was told, make and export as many models with this as I wish. For free. Thought this was a scam or something, when I got the popup asking me to pay for credits. But I don't get them anymore. Exporting was an issue. Would like to do it through the USB port. But I cant find out how to do that. I even tried through Bluetooth. I found my PC on my phone and my PC found my phone, but the export still failed. The only thing that worked was sending it to my google drive. and then upload it to my PC from there. Seems those from UE4 and 5 are now working on a live 3D scanner of their own, called RealityScan. But only works with iOS. Should work with Android in a few months. Hopefully, like Qlone, it will not cost for each export. Qlone is a cool idea for those that can get it to work for them. Just wished it worked as well for me. Will have to see what others come up with. Or if this gets better.
