Great app. I have almost notes. However, recent update created problems: 1. Agree with others that you can no longer paste into an empty space; you can only paste over occupied space. 2. When you Save a note, it no longer adds a numeric digit to the Original Backup file; instead, it adds an underscore "_". 3. When you exit a Note (after creating, editing or viewing it), Notepad takes you back to the Top of all of your notes, instead of the location of the recently accessed note.
I have been happy with the app for 2 years until this 3.x update. Now I cannot cut and paste to another position. Also, notes that began with underscore sorted before letters and numbers, now they sort after Z and before a. I had used underscore to sort notes to the top. Also, when I return from a note to the list, it now scrolls to the top, previously it left the list in the last position. It is unacceptable to change behaviors with an update. I am reducing my rating even further.
I'm tired of just a simple notepad needing network access, having in app purchases and ads. In their own ways each one makes your notes less secure, because ads and purchases mean there's a database it's connected to and that can be hacked. This one is JUST NOTES. No bull and no insecurity, no annoyance and no ridiculous list of features to clog your screen with buttons. You just type, save and edit your dang notes, like you asked. Lack of bold and other text editing tools, but you don't need it
