This app used to be good, but for the past few weeks the apps are not being closed automatically by the app. The app shows me each open app one by one and I have to hit the force close button for each open app. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the same thing keeps happening. All settings are correct and all my phone apps are up to date. This is an app issue.
It works. Running 3dmark wildlife before yielded scores between 6000-6500. After running and killing backround apps, the score jumped to just under 8500 which is a 25-30% increase in performance. Killed 20 running apps. It sure beats manually stopping a bunch of apps in the app manager. I haven't found an option for a paid version without ads but if there were one, I might consider paying actual money for a convenient and ad free experience.
This app is so useful that it should genuinely come stock on Android devices. It's crazy that I can have 142/221 apps running in the background, my phone freezing constantly, running like garbage, and just have no ability on the stock OS to not only close all of those apps but the stock OS doesn't even *tell you they are running* unless you check them all individually. I'm on a Pixel 3A XL and it's getting a little old and worn at this point, and this app helps keep it chugging.
