Call Recorder (Total Recall) is the most trusted & reliable call recorder for Android mobile phones available - and best of all it's a FREE. It worked great to start with, I've had it for 9+ months and originally, it very reliably recorded both sides of the conversation. I've always used a Bluetooth device and that's the reason I selected this recording app. It was the only app that captured both sides of the conversation when I was on Bluetooth. However, lately, it has started only recording my side of the conversation. I have not changed my settings and I can't figure out how to fix it.
I've tried a lot of different call recording apps out there, but I always come back to this one. Although it has a few shortcomings, this app is by far the most reliable call recording app that I've used. It does have a few shortfalls that prevent me from going all the way to five stars, specifically: the user interface is a little bit ugly and outdated; it's not quite as feature-rich as some of the other apps out there; and the MP3 files that it generates sometimes have problems with their time indices so they report the wrong length, or prevent you from being able to scrub through to different points in the recording - but ultimately the entire call is still recorded and can still be played back. Unfortunately in Android 9, call recording is no longer possible without root, and this is one of the few apps that allows root recording. Additionally this app provides specific descriptions of its different call recording methods, rather than the vague descriptions that other apps provide like method 1, method 2, etc. At the end of the day, this app is the most reliable I've found in providing the advertised functionality of call recording, and were it to receive a UI face lift and fix issues with MP3 time indices I would definitely bump it to five stars.
Worked awesome on my Galaxy 7 edge. Worked for a week or two on my Galaxy 20 FE, then stopped. Keeps saying to enable in accessibility. I go to accessibility, everything is turned on for total recall. The loop continues. I try to record a call, nothing. I can't even manually record a call. I see a few people are having the same problem. Just woke up one day and it wasn't working. I do not have any auto updates turned on. I love this app and would like to see an update to address this problem.
