UPDATE May 29, 2022. I recently updated to a Samsung A32 android phone. The camera on this app now no longer works. It seems to take photos but will not save them. Please do something so I can use this app again for close up photos. I installed two similar apps, and they just are not as good as this one. Thanks! The things you can see with this app are awesome! I found bugs that were almost invisible. It is fun to see what things actually look like in close-up detail. I give the app a big five.
I'm sorry, but this was just horrible. 1st, the focus is not. It just doesn't exist. I tried to read small text from a CD case and all I could see was a blurred line of totally unreadable text. Other similar apps show a very sharp text at same zoom level. Edit: OK, it can focus, but it only does when you tap the screen. Not acceptable, and you better have a steady hand too. A magnifier should auto focus, but an additional feature where you tap the screen and overriding auto focus it would focus on the spot you touch. 2nd, the icons aren't intuitive. I wondered what on earth is that alphabet icon until I tried and saw it was invert. The strobo light was a try and be surprised, and not in a pleasing way. I mean, lose it, it makes no sense and is annoying. But hey, as long as you don't get the focus right, you won't have any users. So fix it, and remember, this is the kind of that everyone wants one, but there's also a ton of others, so think of a useful feature for magnifier app that could make yours the best. Edit: Ok, some people find the flashlights strobo feature useful, but the icon was not intuitive at all to me... Maybe just have a look at icons from other similar programs...
great app. As you can see from the reviews the focus doesn't work well for a few people, and they gave it a low rating where everybody else gave it a five. so give it a try. has a text button for inverting the colors to make it easier to read text in some situations. also has a strobe button to flash the light, could be useful in certain situations. also has the ability to save a picture of the current View, very convenient.
