Incapable of simply playing numbered mp3 files in order. Jumps around from 2 to 17, from 3 to 35, seems random but also repeats the same. The files play in order in other apps, only this one messes up. Super irritating for audiobooks, and I've literally never run into this problem with an audio player, going all the way back to the 1990s. How you managed to mess up such a basic feature is beyond me
Does the job for the most part. Though something changed in the last update I think (many months ago). There used to be a widget if you pull down from the top and a widget on the lock screen. But both disappeared. yes, I can just "hey google, play next song" though if the volume is loud enough in the car, google doesn't pick it up. i can't find in any settings how to bring back the lock screen widget.
One problem I have a lot is that it's playing and the audio drops out entirely. The into things that fixes it is to move the progress bar back. Adjusting the volume or repeat or skip doesn't fix anything. I didn't see this in video apps. I'm running a new Pixel with generic Android ads latest updates. I've never seen this and have been using mostly Galaxy phones since Galaxy 4 and a Moto Droid X due a few years before that.
