Ever felt betrayed by a Bible publisher? I was an early paid adopter on iOS. On Android I paid as well when I switched. The new update took away features that were previously included when I purchased the study bible(Kristyn Getty audio). Now they're asking $20/yr to get it back. Not much has changed, and accessing the study notes is too clunky and indirect. Taking away features I had previously paid for and unlocked is a new low bar for Crossway. I moved on to YOUVERSION. It's better.
A lot of resources but the app is very clunky. Pressing the back button could take you out of the app completely or go back to the previous screen or even the home screen. You never know what it's going to do. The screen randomly stops responding to touch and won't scroll or respond to the play button. It won't save my reading plan progress. I had to force stop and restart the app multiple times just to make it function properly.
Update: The verse numbers change along with the narration, but the text scroll function still doesn't work. I miss that part the most. Original review: I would have given this 4-5 stars, but with the recent updates the text tracking feature with the narration is not working. That was one of the features I loved the most. As a busy mom, this app is crucial for helping me stay in the Word every day, but I need to be able to keep track of where I am at and where I stop listening.
