I downloaded when the movie first came out and it said I have 3 years to live. I keep it to see what happened when the timer reached 0, but they added 29 more years toward the end. It has ads and control your flashlight now. To fight this, disable wifi and data usage for this app in your phone settings. Uninstall it if you have no idea. It's just a bloatware
Quite an interesting recreation for sure. :) I like how the user agreement was recreated as faithfully as possible, and I think it's pretty cool how every time you reset the app, the date is always randomized. What I really don't get, however, are the random sound effects throughout the app (except for the sound when the countdown starts as well as the "violation of terms of service" alert), the app controlling the flashlight so early on (it should be when the countdown is nearing its end for better effect), and the highly unusual placement of a play button which really doesn't have a purpose as it just crashes the app. Recommendations: Delete the unnecessary random sound effects, fix the flashlight manipulation, and please explain what the play button was originally intended to do or just remove it completely. And possibly see if you can make a version that has no ads on it please.
The "Ring A Round The Rosey" song is a nice touch, but the fact that it's controlling the flashlight is absolutely annoying. And what's with all the ads and how they give you extra time on your life? The app in the movie didn't give that option. I don't see their flashlights blinking like crazy. Then you got the vibration at like a pulse setting, that you also can't change. This app is just a way to watch your battery die incredibly fast because of the flashing constantly and the vibration.
