Horrible app and website and system, whether Android or Apple, and the website is bad as well. Something as simple as rewinding a few seconds cannot be done easily. Any video website like YouTube, you can easily double click on the left side of the video and it would rewind a few seconds, even porn sites have that. Why on earth is something so simple not available on an educational platform called Coursera?! Ridiculous. Also normal for all course progress to disappear! Horrible
I like that I can listen to audio-only versions of the videos (great for a commute); that the app remembers my last-set speed setting; and that it has an auto-play feature that automatically moves to the next video. This app works great for video-and-quiz-based courses, but the desktop version is better when completing programming assignments in Jupyter notebooks.
I like that this platform makes the material available at a competitive cost, but the user experience is awful when it comes to quizzes. Multiple choice questions are terribly formatted, so you can't read the questions and the possible responses without having to scroll up and down over and over again. It's really tedious and has led to unnecessary mistakes on my part several times. It's made me very reluctant to trust this platform for UX or front-end development courses. The rest is fine.
