I have used Covenant Eyes for almost five years. It does what I intended it to. Help keep me accountable. Unfortunately, the app keeps connecting and disconnecting to the VPN quickly over and over again. It prevents some websites from loading. Or I can't tell if the payment is just submitted went through. This off-on back and forth disconnects me from the internet for those brief seconds. It happens on both WiFi and data. A bit frustrating. Other than that, it's been helpful.
1/4 - Looks good. The app owner responded to my previous review. Stale connection should be fixed now. So far so good. Previous review - It looks like the app's VPN can cause stale connections, which breaks other apps like Google voice, Waze, slack. The only solution I have found is to disable mobile internet for a few seconds and re-enable. Then, to restart those apps.
Covenant Eyes' most recent update is really frustrating because of how it ruins App Locking. Now, it only gives me the option to block a third of the apps I had blocked by a passcode. So, all the remainder apps CANNOT be restricted any longer. Additionally, they've given you the option to minimize or split the lock screen, which makes it easier to avoid temporarily. PLEASE change the App Locking feature to how it previously was. 🙏 I wish I never downloaded Covenant Eyes' most recent update 😪
