An earlier version of my review stated that this "new" app was incomplete. Updates in the past weeks have seemingly(?) matched the features to the previous "old" app, but I stand by my opinion that the app is not well polished. Many of the animations with the new pull-up sheets for tickets/upcoming journeys still feel clunky. The updates have still failed to address a bug with Android 14 "predictive back animations" so the app crashes when trying to use them from the Reisedetails/trip info page.
The new app is is incredibly unwieldy and overcomplicates everything by making you trawl through dozens of menus and options to book even the simplest tickets. I have just booked a Bayernticket, and it took ages compared to the old app. There also seems to be no way of getting out of a booking process once started. Very frustrating, counter-intuitive and time-wasting.
Since they updated the app it doesn't give any real-time notifications for late trains!! Super frustrating to find out the train is 40 mins late after rushing to the train station, or that I will miss my connection. Also it doesn't offer alternatives for missed connections. I want the old clunky app back, at least it gave correct and timely info!!!
