I tested the new app and I find it rather bad. You can check several topics that you want to get information about, but there is no option if you don't want video articles or short notices. Also Spiegel+ articles are often not shown as such. Think I'll stop using Spiegel as source. It got too annoying with the update...
Liked the old layout much more as the content was very structured and clearly. Now it looks very chaotic with no structure at all and you have access to only less than 60% of the articles as most of them seem to be available only if you are subscribed. Big disappointment imo.
Overall, very good. High quality content, easy to navigate. Only, Spiegel+ pages don't seem to have a proper security certificate (HTTPS). I'm using Chrome with advanced security settings and Spiegel+ pages, unfortunately, dont pass this hurdle.
