Great idea but the app is hopeless. No favourite numbers, no speakerphone whilst dialling, keeps duplicating calls in history, very slow to load. Overall an awful app that solves a problem that all expats have. Could be made so much better so easily. I struggle on in the hope that one day it will improve. I suggest that all the developers solely use this app for calls and texts for a month and see how frustrating it is. You can do better!
This app does everything I wanted. I've recently emigrated from UK to USA and wanted to keep my number to stay in touch with friends and business services in UK. I also wanted to be able to receive verification texts from my UK bank and others. I don't understand the negative reviews. Yes it doesn't yet have loads of bells and whistles, but the developers have concentrated on making sure they get the basics right first. They have also been very quick and patient in answering my naive questions.
Great in theory but can be flaky in practice. When it works it's exactly what you'd hope it would be. But in reality, half the time incoming calls are immediately missed or fail to connect when try to answer them, though this can be mitigated by adjusting the app's battery and display settings. Similarly, some SMS messages you send fail but without warning or notification, and likewise I've failed to receive some incoming messages also.
