Works, loaded with ads... Far too many for my liking. But most importantly I cannot write this app more than one or two stars because they want a subscription as opposed to at one time fee. I don't need your VIP support, and you offer no other services that are worth subscription/s. The app just changes a setting. That's it. People are sick to death of useless subscriptions. Based on the above stated, I most definitely cannot recommend this app.
Comcast customer here. I was having a lot of trouble with slow connections and browsing with Comcast's DNS servers, and since Android doesn't let you change settings, I tried this app to switch to OpenDNS. I verified that I am actually on OpenDNS's servers (to make sure this isn't malware), and browsing is MUCH faster now. Data transfer speeds are about the same, but the slowness came from long DNS resolution times, which this app solved. Well worth the price to disable ads, IMO.
Great but keeps disconnecting itself. Meaning I have to keep opening and connecting every now and then. Switching battery to unrestricted did not help. The disconnecting happens most frequently on mobile (which is used away from home), at home I use the wifi. Using free edition, wish there was an automatic reconnect setting. Also, wish it would start on boot. Otherwise it would defeat it's purpose. I want DNS settings to be permanent and over mobile and all wifi's.
