I don't usually bother writing reviews but this app really earns a 5. I started having full screen pop ups and I couldnt stop it. I hadn't downloaded anything in weeks. I tried uninstalling the most recently updated. Nothing worked. My phone was almost unusable with all the pop ups. I read online about using a DNS change and tried this. 100% fix! No more popups. You do have to restart it every time the phone reboots. I get popups almost immediately after a reboot. Once I turn on the app it stops
VERY useful!! The only thing that would make this better is if it would activate/deactivate based on SSID the device is connected to, or provide per-SSID profiles since not every network has the same setup. Currently, I have to manually disable this app when connected to WiFi away from my house and if I forget to do so, I'm essentially "offline" ☺️
Fantastic; been using it for years. All you have to do is set up a small Ubuntu VM, install PiHole, and you've got in-app ad blocking (as well as a backup for your browser if needed). Handy one tap shortcuts to toggle it, and excluded apps list. Careful: my phone likes to silently close dnspipe shortly AFTER you unplug it from the charger, sometime when the screen is off. That's just the stupid OS/manuf skin though; I've never had it crash on me.
