The Windows app is great, but the Android app is terrible. The main problem with it is that it has great difficulties rendering PDF documents. Typically, the first few pages render properly, but the remaining pages are either very blurry or blank. This makes the Android app a non-starter, regardless of how good the annotating tools might be. I too paid for a Pro Plus subscription based solely on my experience with the Windows version. I should have known better.
2 stars instead of 1 because I do enjoy this app on my windows laptop. There should at least be a few features to use on the basic free plan. Instead you have to upgrade to use it at all. I'm trying to use this with a mental health journal and it's difficult not being able to access that on the go. I'd at the very least like to be able to access the PDF, even if I can't edit it.
I bought the paid version of Drawboard PDF years ago, supporting the early development before there was ever any "Pro" version, before the subscription service. When they started with the subscriptions, I was DOWNGRADED from the features that I had ALREADY PAID FOR and told I would have to subscribe to get those functions back. Now I get an email saying they finally have it available on Android and of course I download it, because at least limited features are worthwhile, but... nope. Pro ONLY.
