A solid vocabulary builder for foreign languages. The app is really in your face about buying a subscription. Without said subscription, there are lots of useful features, like the "undo" button and the ability to learn more than 2 languages at once, that are locked behind an in-your-face paywall. I would love there to be more functions for free users in this app. And, if there can be an ability to buy a lifetime subscription, I'd consider the investment if the price is good enough.
DuoCards is a fantastic tool for vocabulary building. It's super easy to add words you want to learn. (Type them in, share them from a web page, find existing lists, etc.) You get instant translations, so no need to look the words up. The algorithm for learning the words is extremely effective. There are options to study smaller lists separately, and other useful tools. I had a few questions about features that weren't clear to me, and I found that user support is fast and super helpful.
I know the basics of spanish but I really wanted to expand my vocabulary, especially since I work with someone from Venezuela who speaks very little English. This app has been working really well for me so far. You can pick what words you want to study from diffrent pre made sets. The only down side is that you can't make your own set to learn from without paying. Well, you can, but theres a low limit to how many cards you can "learn" at a time and you can't add more or make a set to use later.
