it worked great the first 3 times i used it. then now it only logs about 40 min of data then stops recording - no error, no announcement for me to restart it. etc. i get home after say a 4 hr drive in the country taking pics and find i have .. 5-10 points covered at the 1st 30 min of the trip. I have cell service for 90% of the trip, and i ensure i keep it charge connected. not sure why its failing. But adding at least an alert so we can LOOK and fix it to start saving data again would be really helpful.
It's an exceptionally simple, light utility for recording GPS tracks. The tracks need to be downloaded and loaded into a mapping program, but that can be done after the fact. I use it to record hikes and trail routes so that afterwards I can see precisely where I went.
I love this app. It is simple and I have not found battery use to be excessive. I like the clean interface without all the bloat of some apps. I export the GPX file to a viewer (in my case, GPX Viewer Pro) and I love the result. I also use this app to geotag my photos.
