Found a way to have my phone in English and the metric system through the replies here, set your phone to English Australia. It would still be nice to change the measurement unit in the app. I tested the navigation feature today and it would work really nice to have the route on the display but my phone has to have the screen on for it to work and that's really inconvenient. Edit: found the issue, turn off power saving mode on your phone and it works pretty well.
UX is way below average, e.g. constant notification even after leaving the app without ANY user function and no way to get rid of but to force close. Or forced automatic language detection that also dictates units at the same time (US English =imperial) with no option to change it. Such nuances are quite frustrating, where besides it does more or less what it's supposed.
Things work fine in general, but some real basics are surprisingly absent. Specifically, In am using the app in Germany in a phone set up in English. Now I have to live with feet and miles as units. Switching units between imperial and metric in app settings is a basic standard even the most simple apps offer nowadays. Not the Flow App. Second, my wife has 2 e-bikes with smart system. However, only one bike can be set up! She cannot use the flow app or smartphone grip on the second bike!
