No voice activated scrolling, in 2024? The teleprompter itself works well, though. I like how you can see the total time your script will take to read by hitting "plus" or "minus," this is huge for making short form videos on Shorts, Reels, etc. I don't think any other app I've seen has this. The inability to directly import from Google Docs is a big bummer, but nothing a little multi-window action on my Android can't fix!
It's a great application. It's great for using to remind yourself of lyrics. What really is the only issue that I have and is preventing me from buying the paid version. Is there is no export feature to backup all of the data and songs, or text files . So that when your phone finally breaks down and crashes or you want to move to a new phone, you CANNOT export all of the hard work that you have put in to creating all of these files. Currently this app CANNOT BACKUP OR EXPORT its data.
The app is pretty simple to use which I like, and it does what it says it does. All text-to-speech readers don't scroll, so I can use this one to scroll along with that and I can play around with the speeds and try to synchronize them. It would be really nice if elegant teleprompter was able to be a text-to-speech reader as it scrolls, with a mute option. I claim royalty dibs on anybody that comes up with that one.
