As a visually impaired person who has long been frustrated with reading or seeing with my own eyes, with the help of this program I can understand the images that others share with me on social media whether it has text in English or Persian. The change that I think could be very positive for this app is the ability to remove camera or shutter sound when shooting to read text in the image. That way, when others are resting in same place with me, I can use the app without disturbing them.
Works great! I can read text on screens that I never could before, cutting way back on my need for sighted assistance. Only wish that shape and symbol recognition was better while reading text, offline text reading seems less accurate and wish that camera click volume could be adjusted. Otherwise this was money well spent and I use it every day.
This is a good app for providing good descriptions of images and text on Android. However, a long-standing feature request I have made for allowing the app to run as a service to describe images automatically in any app from Instagram to the photo gallery have not been addressed by the developer. For this reason, I am lowering my rating for this ap.
