I've used this app to see where I should place my plants to get the most sun in often overcast PNW. Also to orient myself while walking in places with no signs, & a little Feng Shui. Also used it to mark latitude & longitude. Beautiful, clear, clean graphics. No naggy screen pop-ups, too!
I thought it would be handy to have just in case, especially where I live. However, it seems to have issues if you're in just such an area that would need it. I live in the mountains and it has difficulty staying accurate and the compass moves extremely slow trying to keep up with even minor movement or jumps well past the amount moved. Small enough app that I'll keep, but I'd recommend having an actual compass if you plan on needing one.
Why am I not drowning?, Screen GPS data, is showing altitude of -22m, yet I'm looking out over tidal water as I type. Clear steady compass. Free version sems ad free so far, and I don't need extra features in pro version. App icon so hard to spot, this making me look for replacement. Icon's just a N in a red circle, wish it looked like a compass but no setting to do this.
