This app has literally changed my life. For a while, it sat on my phone and didn't get used very much at all. I had issues with a milling feed rate at one point, and decided to open it up and give it a shot. It has worked wonderfully on every type of tool and material so far, and the radial and axial chip thinning calculation is extremely effective and useful. One suggestion I'd like to make is to add some sort of feed reduction ratio when comparing the machinesActual Toolpath ÷ cuttingEdgeTP
This app has helped me push my limits as a machinist and help me with new tools that I am unfamiliar with! It is always right on the money and is a good balance of heavy machining/tool life. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone new or with decades experience. I only have the free version but there is a pro version as well that I'm sure is also great! 👍
This app gives excellent feeds and speeds for a wide variety of tools and materials. It shows sfm, rpm, chip load, etc. so you can easily adjust for your situation. I also just discovered the over two dozen references and calculators for things like drill sizes, gd&t, center drills, counter sinks, etc. While I wish there were a few more tool configurations like slitting saws and involute cutters, you get very good results using similar tools.
