I wish so much that there was a version of this geared towards prehospital medicine! (EMT/Paramedic work) even then, aside from the extra of doing labs and meds, it's so interesting seeing a huge improvement between when I played around with this app prior to my EMT program versus after. It's also helped to settle a lot of nerves going in to that area of work and I feel pretty good about retained knowledge from my program! The attending and debrief are extremely helpful as well!
Best app for real world practice. This type of technology changes a lot, even if it just settles nerves without doing a pretend play and being critiqued in front of your peers. This feels just as real. Having the tabs on the side, and having an attending w options to help, only where you need, by adding a few differentials to eliminate the rest. You can consult a specialist. Super fun and Im not even a medical professional but i should have been. Its a hobby... But i could be a good dr.
I like this app as a platform for case studies. Although, I tried to upgrade to the pro version for additional rationals and there is a permanent error that would allow that to happen. However, the basic version works for what I need. I just wish I had the access to all those pro scenarios! It would be nice if there was similar app/version more geared toward nurses rather than playing the provider.
