This app is a disaster - the database is poorly maintained and clearly rarely error checked resulting in shows displaying as available in languages that they really aren't. Just the other night there were two test entries that were pushed in the live app resulting in placeholder titles appearing while browsing. Shows have episodes that are intermittently unavailable in the version you're watching (Uncut or Simulcast) resulting in the need to stop, switch the version, watch that episode and then switch back. Categories take longer to load than any other streaming app I've ever used. Certain episodes are 'unavailable at this time' much more often than they ever should be. In certain scenarios the 'go to show' button just takes you back to the home screen. The final episode of a series will occasionally loop indefinitely, resulting in it constantly being in your watch queue unless you go to the website and skip to the end there, or remove every episode of that show from the queue, as it can't be done from the app. Funimation should be embarrassed they're letting people pay for a subscription and then offer such a terrible user experience through their streaming app.
Once an episode finishes it kicks me out to the Home page. There's no 'Next Episode' option. The marathon mode does not appear or work. It's so bad I have opted to either find other apps with the same shows OR share screen via my laptop. There are too many clicks to get to my last watched or previous shows watched. This app's UI on Nvidia Shield has not updated in a long time...needs update & proper UI re-design.
I extremely dislike this app, there are too many issues & bugs with its design, as if it wasn't even designed for its intended purpose. problems include: -stretched images in menu -constant loading just looking for show -non user friendly design -hard to find new content -having to constantly change language to English even though having English set to preferred -& more bugs: -wrong thumbnail on titles, then randomly changes back but rarely -tv screen saver, crashes app I'm hoping the developer fix this car crash of an app soon
