Not perfect, but working! There are some UI bugs when your layout is used on untested font/screen sizes. Also, the stitching quality is not as good as Samsung's (no interpolation, no parallax adjustment mid-stream...). On the other hand, this program works on modern Android, and successfully copied/stitched videos the official software crashed on. Thanks for breathing life into a paperweight, dev.
I read the Github documents and installed the firmware on the SD card. start the camera and connect to the camera via wifi all looks good the app shows is connected. the problem is that I am not able to download the images to my phone. What an I missing? I am using a Samsung gs21 ultra. I see others got it to work so I am hopeful... Worked with the developer. To say he was super helpful is an understatement. Just when I was getting ready to give up he contacted me one more time and long story short the program is working and I am a very happy gear 360 owner once again.
Bit of a learning curve to set up, but I do love a challenge - and it's well worth it to bring a device that Samsung completely gave up on a new breath of life. Massive thanks to the developer! I no longer have to wait till I get home and use my computer to see how my photos turned out.
