They have completely removed third party ads from the app and none of the functionality of a good document scanner is behind a paywall (only fancy stuff like Optical Text Recognition). I just wish there was a single-payment lifetime premium option available instead of subscription only. If I could, I would pay up to 30€ for a lifetime premium license.
This app is really solid. It scans well, has a simple but elegant UI, and nice filter and sharing options. I haven't done a deep dive on performance, but just be aware that your camera quality, lighting, etc. will effect your results. It had been a few months since I've used it, but the most recent update feels like a significant improvement. There is a paid upgrade, but the free version (no ads) is quite robust. The developers seem to care about doing things right, huge props to them.
This app has the best and most fluent user interface. No other app makes it that easy to scan multiple pages into one document! One downside is the poor OCR quality. Many printed words are recognized incorrect. I am also wondering if the format function is broken. Nothing happen when I change the format. I also think that the edge recognition could be a bit faster. However, except of these issues this app is great.
