This is the best music player on Android bar none. Even with the caveat of it being able to play your local music collection only, the amount of customization it offers allows the app to contour to your expectations, rather than live with limitations. And with so many applications that don't give any consideration to what or how different people may want to interact with them, GoneMAD comes off as a complete rethink here, and I love it for that. I like that considerable consideration was given to the landscape orientation, and split UI in landscape has become my favorite way to use the app. Improvements I'd like to see would be to not have the menus back out and close after making changes. It's tedious to drill back down into them when you just want to see how "card view" looks in "compact". Even though it's a set it once affair, our first week using the app if you so choose you can spend a couple hours picking through the menus to create your perfect experience. It's a similar situation with the widgets. It's nice that there are a lot of options for widget size and shape, but not being able to edit a widget after you place it is a bummer. I wish the dynamic color mode also had the option to color your music list. What a fantastic music player.
I love this app - it's hard to find a truly good music app on android, one that looks good, is easy to navigate, and does a good job playing music - this app the best I've found! The one thing it's missing (at least as far as I can tell) is the ability to chromcast - if you added that feature, this would be hands down the best music player on Android.
The app is fantastic, great organisation. Probably the best music app on the market. However I have the following issues: Significant battery consumption, even when not in use (32% of my power drain from simply being idle with no media playing). App sometimes crashes, causing me to reboot the app in order to continue listening to music. Any way you can fix these issues?
