Gumtree used to be just ok, but I'm finding it unusable as of the last week or so . Just no consistency in searching, as in precisely the same search will give vastly different results, from one minute to the next, or even using a different phone, using the same identical search. I've uninstalled/reinstalled many times, but it just doesn't improve.
This was a pretty decent App, but they broke it with the last update. Now notifications don't work. They don't clear once you've looked at them. So it always looks like I have new items matching my search criteria when I don't. You can no longer save new filtered searches. And to top it all off you click an item and it tells you the item is no longer available. RUBBISH. Fire your new developer and get the old one back.
Final nail in the coffin for Gumtree with this latest forced update. Slow, clunky, non intuitive. Struggling to get the filters to work in order to only show listings in my state. Keep reverting back to national listing's for each new search. App has decided after the update that I have relocated from Brighton S.A to Brighton Victoria. While scroling through the listings, full page ads randomly appear, causing the loss of your search results, having to start the whole painstaking process again.
