Very good app. I've used it once so far and was impressed. I am using this app with an older Canon 5d MK2. I could not get it to work at first. Firstly I needed to use an OTG cable as mentioned on their website. My camera was not brand new so it did not come with one, so I had to purchase a solid OTG cable. Secondly, I needed to turn on the usb debugging function located within the developer options on my phone. Thirdly, I have an option that says "Reverse charge and OTG" under settings which is off by default. Once turned on, the app worked. The only thing is, I am not sure that I can record directly to the mini sd card within the phone???
Once the camera connects (6d), the interface becomes incredibly slow and laggy. I do not have the same issues with DSLR controller. I even removed DSLR controller from my phone to see if that was the issue: it wasn't. I tried everything I could think of (it's not the cable), but it still doesn't work right. I'll update this review if you fix it, but as a paying customer, I'm pretty ticked at the moment. DSLR controller hasn't been updated in 3 years and it works better than this does.
Paid for most expensive version but sign in doesn't work. Though the software didn't warn, I figured out too disconnect the camera and reconnect Wi-Fi, which didn't enable registration anyway. Before I clicked anything, the app took control of the 6D, which entered an unresponsive state, which powering off did not affect. The camera started getting hot before the mystery process stopped. So far so good!
