I tried translating the same thing over and over again and not a single time I heard the same result, it just grabs random sounds, some that actually cats would use on much different situations. You're better off watching the guy of my cat from hell' yt channel.
Mixed opinion. One of my 5 cats came running to these sounds. She's agitated/nervous and started meowing back. And then started to bite my face and hair while purring. (She usually bites my hair when I am hyper and scopp them in my arms and keep her there too long lol. Just to give me a gentle warning that it's time to put her back). So I kind of felt bad for her and stopped using this. All my other cats got stressed, but didn't bother to come and check.
It works. You shouldn't overdo it though! Our two princesses react to this and depending on what we've selected, either give us the stinky eye or come close, really concerned to the point of trying to comfort us. A few months ago, the stray cat we're feeding was missing for 5 days and showed up after I roamed through the neighborhood with my meowing app. At the same time, two teenagers who thought there was a cat in distress, showed up as well. It attracts teenagers too, haha!
