'Illat Hukum

The term 'illat may not be familiar to our ears. We hear the term proposition more often than 'illat. Although actually in several ways, 'illat and dalil have more or less the same function or position. In fact, in some cases, the term 'illat is even more striking when using the term proposition.

A simple example is in the case of the prohibition of khamr. Why is khamr forbidden? This question is actually still somewhat ambiguous and general.
