I'm in the hiring process with an employer and they messaged me for a 2nd interview, but I get an error that doesn't allow me to view their message. ( I do not have their contact info as they operate entirely on indeed). This must be an existing bug they're too ignorant to resolve, as there are endless posts online about the: "something's not right" message going back YEARS. indeed recommends resetting app or clearing browsing history, which is the most basic non-fix you can say.
Took time but I found a job, then a career. After getting a job and doing well, I updated my resume and status on Indeed. I got a dozen requests for my resume in about a month. I have next to no certifications, no post HS degrees, and didn't even list management experience in my resume. I have 5 years menial labor and 5 years sales experience, that's it. For the first time in my life, I had options. Thanks, Indeed. Oh, and it's free and they have a resume building tool.
I had good and bad experiences with Indeed. Once I realized it's a job board it lost it's luster. Having my resume uploaded is convenient. Getting resume "help" is a service that cost money that I do not have b/c I am looking for work duh. It's annoying to find a job that takes you off site to then apply on their site. If that's the process for those companies indicate that. You can simply go to their site rather than using indeed.
