Edit : From some time it started working also for me and it is great. From 1* I change it to 5* _______________________________________________ I have a public IP from provider which is NATed IP. From my point of view everything is transparent and for other things working public IP, but Instant Guard is still thinking that I have private (because is needed setup on wan interface static private IP from ISP). I do not understand why is not possible external check of IP or manualy set my public IP
At one point this app was working great back in the summer time. I don't know if there was an update after that broke it some how, but it's starting to be pointless using it now. When I connect, it states you are protected, but I have no internet when I'm away. I know I set it up correctly on both the router and app. Until they do something about it, I configured my own Wireguard VPN connection, which is working flawlessly. I had high hopes with Asus, I hope they are not letting us down now.
It works fine lately. I really wish it would automatically turn on and off whenever it's connected to the home router or away from it. It seems to bog down when it's active and connected to the router. It also uses allot of phone battery when active. Streaming services also have a hard time sometimes when it's active. That could partially be due to the DNS setup of the router but locally connected Wi-Fi streaming devices seem to work correctly through the same router.
