I tested different apps for streaming to my computer. My selection this time was Iriun. The day after I updated the oc program from 2.7.8 to 2.8.4. The next time I used it I had connection issues. Both between the phone and app and between the app and obs. Is the old version available somewhere so I can test them and compare? Thanks! <3
Many good qualities with one major flaw. A little tricky to set up the USB connection. Of the USB protocols only tethering and MIDI will make the windows and android side recognize a connection is made. Image quality is great with almost no latency. However windows does not recognize the device as being a camera, so it will not allow usage in Skype or video conferencing.
Needs user-defined window-sizing & orientation (framing). Phone framing needs to be independent of laptop display framing. Step 1: enable independent selection of landscape or portrait orientation on the app AND laptop. Currently, selecting "portrait" on the app, holding phone in portrait orientation, the image is unusably clipped (top of my head to top lip are visible). In landscape mode, phone held in portrait, is perfect on the phone, but laptop image is rotated 90 degrees.
