Ok it functions. And Samsung's dedicated Smart-things app is apparently incompatible with my Galaxy device, M51. Which is ridiculous! So with this app, when paired to a Galaxy Smart tag, it will trigger an alarm when Bluetooth connection is lost. That's about it. It's also quite far it drops and no settings for distance, nor anywhere to change the alarm sound, which for me is the rather tame Homecoming. So it could use a little development if that's even possible. Or tips to hack, eg muffle tag?
I got this iTag device and found it very easy to connect once you download the iTag app. However, the range is approx' 10m and the device needs to be connected 24/7 or disconnecting it causes the device to alarm constantly, like its taken out of range eg. Stolen. For £2.58 off ebay, this device is cheap as chips and does pretty much what it says. In my opinion, it is v.good for use with keys, wallet, bag or anything similar. It is not practical for cats as they go out of range frequently.
It doesn't last as a supporting device app. It would seem that the connection doesn't last very long and when opening the app. One isn't sure what to use to frnd keys. It seems more of a waste of space on my phone's drive. Nonetheless far as set up easy enough an if you can keep a decent connection and know what button to use after opening iTag app. It's cool to have I will go check out a different one I may come back who knows the app that I'm using could be for iphone I have Google pixel....
