Can't turn off easily even after SETTINGS, EXIT It is still on sometimes. For years I've asked for an easy ONE CLICK OFF BUTTON. Constantly stops playing in the middle of use. I'm not surprised since it's owned by di.fm which has always had technical problems but they never want to admit it. DI.FM has had technical issues for over 4 years and all they can say is clear cache. IT HAS TO BE THEIR SOFTWARE NOT EVERYONE ELSE"S PHONE. THEY ARE TOO INEPT TO FIX THE PROBLEMS. Revising my prior 3 star rating to 5 stars. No issues with the app crashing, which was a problem in the past. Jazz Radio has awesome variety, and I have 10 channels saved as favorites. Fidelity is surprisingly good, especially at the 320K MP3 setting. It would be great if FLAC playback was also available, but doubtful the improvement in fidelity over 320K would be noticeable...not to me, using my modest audiophile system. Jazz Radio paid subscribers also get access to other music services, such as Rock Radio and Radio Tunes, which are included at no additional charge. Jazz Radio is a great value, and I enjoy it every day. Currently playing on the Mellow Jazz channel as I write this review: Bill Evans Trio - Come Rain or Come Shine.
Thee best Jazz Radio app I have ever used. Very consistent, Easy to navigate the UI, and very simple to pull up a large variety of jazz types to listen to. I think the true selling point though is the lack of ads. Not to say there isn't any, but it is handled PROFESSIONALLY. Counting the time, I tend to go about 30 - 60 minutes without an ad. Ads only play AFTER the song has finished. Never interuppting the mood. More of a commercial break than anything. Premium removes them entirely.
